I'm afraid it's not available now. We can expect it will be available in the next year.

Visit UK from China
I live and work in Shanghai and have associated work and residence permits. I have had two doses of an approved Chinese vaccine in Shanghai and got associated paperwork. I would like to visit the UK in late July to take of my elderly Parents for one month before returning to Shanghai. Is this possible? If so any particular steps I should take to facilitate a smooth return to Shanghai?

It's possible but time-consuming. After returning back to China, you need to go on a quarantine for 14 days long in a hotel room. Before boarding the flight back here, you will need to do covid tests and get a green code using the wechat app. See details: travelchinaguide.com/china-travel-restrictions.htm

Travel And Covid paperwork
I am responsible for a school boy who is returning home to his parents in China in June. He is travelling on a UK passport from London to Copenhagen, in transit at Copenhagen (for 8 hours) before catching a connecting flight to Shanghai.
We are making arrangements for Chinese Embassy-approved covid tests in the UK and will register and apply for a digital health declaration form. My question - does the boy (who is 16) have to repeat both tests at Copenhagen airport during transit and resubmit results to Chinese embassy in Denmark? His UK test will be within 48 hours of travel from Denmark. Thank you for your advice.

Yes, the tests are needed in the transit country, too. Also, he needs to apply for a second HDC to board the connecting flight.

Expected wait for authorisation of documents
All my paperwork for my Z work visa is complete for me to start work in July, except that my degree and police check are waiting to be authorised by the Chinese embassy. Is there any update to how long this backlog is expected to take now the embassy has reopened full time?

You can only contact the embassy to know the exact handling time. FYI, it takes 4 working days for applying for Z visa at usual time.
